Why are the girls "dressed", but not the guys :o

Why is it fine for a girl to wear trousers or shorts, but inappropriate for a guy to wear a dress or a skirt? :D

Ah, thanks. I thought Alan-M have posted some picture, that wouldn't display for some reason. Now it all makes sense :)
